Procedures for 11/6/13

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (11/6/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can blend / discriminate consonants and vowels.  2) I can identify people.  3) (1P) I can use chanting to learn Chinese.  4) I can make a kite.

Homework: 1) Review learned syllables.  2) Practice reading txt passages on pages 23-24.

Procedure:

1.      1) Opening routine.  Any field trip permission slip?  Makeup test / work (1P: Sarah, Emma, Marissa, McKenna; 2P: Caroline, Natalia, James, Taylor, Cameron, Patricia, Abigail; 8P: Stephanie, Emily, Ryan).  2) Quick review (, , , , ).  3) Read text passages on pages 23-24.  (8P) Q/A session.  4) Dictation (front nasal sounds).  5) Writing practice.

2.      1) (2P / 8P) Highlight nasal sounds handout (ang, eng) sections.  2) (1P) Chanting time.  3) Take your sticks, tie your frame and tape your picture to your kite frame.

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (11/6/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk / write about myself in Chinese.  2) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project.  3) I can explore origami.

Homework: 1) Practice reading sentences #1-#9.  2) Brainstorm your idea for your art project.

Procedure:

1.      1) Pass out / go over Sports handout.  2) Write sentence #9.  Read sentences #1-#9.

2.      1) Showcase art project samples (drawing).  2) Complete origami product (gift box).
