Procedures for 11/11/13

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (11/11/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can blend / discriminate consonants and vowels.  2) I can identify, welcome and invite people to come in.  3) I can ask about and state ages.  4) I can apply what I learn to create and perform a skit with a partner.

Homework: 1) Review learned syllables.  2) Practice conversation questions.  3) Chinese character writing assignment.  4) The string wrapped around your bee and all frame taped to your picture by this Friday.

Procedure:

1.      1) Opening routine.  Any field trip permission slip (1P: Emma; 2P: Patricia, Shann, Jake; 8P: Bryan)?  Please make sure your name is on your kite.  Quick review (, 谢谢, 请进, , 马克, 欢迎).  2) Q/A session.  3) Take turns reading text passages on pages 23-24.  4) Writing practice.

2.      1) Teach new characters (, , , , 今天, 明年, ).  2) Go over back nasal sounds handout (iong, weng) sections.  3) Class time: draft your skit draft.  .

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (11/11/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk / write about myself in Chinese.  2) I can say colors in Chinese.  3) I can understand the importance of learning Chinese language.

Homework: 1) Art project due tomorrow.  2) Oral presentation starts on Wednesday, 11/13/14.  Bring in your work to do for the next three days.

Procedure:

1.      1) Quick review (hong se, huang se, hei se, bai se, lan se, lv se, zi se, zong se).  2) Teach (cheng se, fen hong se, hui se).  3) Read sentences #1-#10.

2.      1) Video: Chinese program in American schools.  2) Introduce Chinese class rosters.  3) Sample tea.
