Procedures for 11/25/13

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (11/25/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions with new question words.  2) I can learn negative sentence pattern.  3) I can sight read pinyin sentences fluently with accurate intonation and tones.  4) I can understand the requirements for assessing my speaking assessment.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Practice reading Review Sounds 1 handout sentences #1-#24.

Procedure:

1.      1) (HR) Write a card to seniors at Chippewa Place.  Collect canned food.  2) Opening routine.  Makeup work (1P: Sara / Emma / Marissa; 2P: Anthony; 8P: Sean, Maddy, Emily, Luke, Miles, Sydney, Troy, Logan).  Ask for an E/I pass for tomorrow, please.  3) Return Lesson Four chapter test papers + character worksheet.  (1P/2P) Collect.  4) Go over common writing mistakes (, , , , , ).  5) If you scored 31.2 or under in written section, please ask for a retake form at the end of the class period and return by tomorrow.  All retakes have to complete by next Friday, 12/6/13.  Talk to Ms. Chang for details.  6) Captains check Lesson Five character definitions.

2.      1) Take turns reading Review Sounds 1 sentences #1-#21.  2) Go over sentences #22-24.  3) Go over Review Sound1 assessment Checklist.  4) Teach new characters (, , ).

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (11/25/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can write simple Chinese characters.  3) I can gain cultural knowledge about how characters evolve through viewing video clips.  4) (3P) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese characters and Chinese history.

Homework: 1) Review 14 learned terms.  2) Chinese character writing assignment.

Procedure:

1.     1) (3P: Melina, Alex, Mark, Leon, Trevor, Mike; 5P: Sam, Nick, Haley) talk to Ms. Chang, please.  Makeup work (5P: Joe).  uick review (9 terms + 2 characters).  2) Teach new terms (Xie Xie, Bu Xie, Bu Ke Qi, Wu An, Wan An).

2.   1) Teach Chinese characters (people / person, wood, mountain).  2) Video clips: (sun, person, wood, 3P: mountain).  3) (3P) Culture reading: page 1.
