Procedures for 11/22/13

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (11/22/13)


Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of Lesson Four materials.  2) I can sight read text passages and pinyin sentences fluently with accurate intonation and tone.

Homework: 1) Lesson Five character worksheet definitions.  2) Practice reading Review Sounds 1 sentences #1-#21.


1.      1) (HR) Yuletide Hunger Drive from 11/25-12/6.  Please bring in canned food and hygiene products to support the community.  Please be prepared to write a letter to seniors at Chippewa Place next Monday.  2) Opening routine.  Collect Lesson Four character worksheet.  Pass out Lesson Five character worksheet.  Makeup work (2P: Patricia; 8P: Luke, Troy, Bryan–survey).  3) Writing thank you card (Mrs. Pandy + Mrs. Hudacek??)

2.      1) Lesson Four chapter test.  2) Pair practice—oral Q/A + sight read text passages + Review Sounds 1 sentences #1-#21.



Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (11/22/13)

Objectives: 1) I can write simple Chinese picture characters.  2) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  3) I can understand the development of Chinese characters through viewing video clips.

Homework: 1) Review learned greeting terms & Chinese characters.  2) Quiz #1: Friday, 12/6/13.  3) Chinese character writing assignment.


1.     1) Any signature slip?  Return China reading packet.  Makeup work (3P: Brogan, Mark—China reading packet; 5P: Sam, Tom, Tyler—paper cutting pattern; Joe + J.C.—China reading packet).  2) Quick review (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Zai Jian).  3) Teach new terms (Lao Shi, Zao, Zao An, Ni Zao, Zao Shang Hao).

2.     1) Teach simple Chinese picture characters (sun, moon).  2) Video clip: caveman (moon).
