Procedures for 12/10/13

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (12/10/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions (positive, negative, possessive, question).  2) I can sight read pinyin sentences fluently with correct intonation and tone.  3) I can gain cultural knowledge about four treasures of the study.

Homework: 1) WB pages 30-31.  2) Practice reading text passages + Review Sounds 2 sentences #1-#22.

Procedure:

1.      1) Opening routine.  Return exit slip.  Collect 25¢.  2P / 8P (Tyler, Stephanie, Luke) students circle your name on the seating chart.  1P/2P students cook at 1P/6P tomorrow.  Captains check WB pages 27 (section B) – 29.  Go over answer key.  2) Quick review (刀子, , 剪刀, 书包, 橡皮, , , 谁的, , , 毛笔, , , , , 什么, 知道, 大概, 客人, 客气, 生气, 大气, 学生) + Review Sounds 2 sentences #1-#18 + text passages.  3) Teach Review Sounds 2 sentences #19-#22.  4) (1P) Pass out / go over study guide.

2.      1) Textbook pages 39-42.  2) Captains lead Conversation practice + Q/A + read text passages + 22 sentences.  3) Pass out article / exit slip (the Four Treasures of the Study).  Collect at the end of class period.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (12/10/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can count from zero to one hundred.  2) I can talk about myself in Chinese.  3) I can brain storm ideas for my art project.  4) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese calligraphy.

Homework: 1) Review counting principle.  2) Brainstorm ideas for your art project.  3) Art project due on 1/13/14.  Oral presentation completes on Tuesday-Wednesday, 1/14/14-1/15/14.

Procedure:

1.      1) Quick review (20 characters).  (5P) Count from zero to one hundred.  2) Pass out / go over art project requirements.  3) (3P) Pass out / go over oral presentation sentence patterns.

2.      (3P) 1) Teach term (sui).  Write sentences #1-#2.  2) Read sentences #1-#2.
