Procedures for 12/20/13

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (12/20/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can introduce my family and myself.  2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.  3) I can prepare for my mid-term exam.  4) I can sing Christmas songs in Chinese.  5) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese family structure.

Homework: 1) Practice conversation questions.  2) Family picture due: Monday, 1/6/14.

Procedure:

1.      1) (HR) Collect $1 for dress down day.  Opening routine.  Check progress book for accuracy, please.  (1P: Naomi, Marissa; 2P: Jamie; 8P: Emily, Tina, Jonathan, Alex, Maddy) talk to Ms. Chang, please.  Return papers (1P: Emma, Marissa, Giovanna, Naomi; 2P: Yui; 8P: Bryan, Emily).  Mrs. Soeder’s cousin is coming for E/I Assembly today.  Prepare questions for him, please.  2) Quick review (爸爸, 妈妈, 哥哥, 弟弟, 姐姐, 妹妹, , ó没有, , , ).  3) Go over Lessons 2-6 conversation questions handout + Mid-term study guide.  4) Pair activity.  Q/A.  5) Pass out exit slip / article.  Show Ms. Chang your exit slip.  Go over answer key as a class.

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (12/20/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can name colors in Chinese.  2) In can talk about myself.  3) I can showcase my mastery of Chinese numbers.  4) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese tea.  5) I can explore origami folk art.

Homework: N/A

Procedure:

1.      1) Return draft #2. Makeup work—draft #2 (3P : Brogan, Holly ; 5P : Tom).  Quick review (hong se, huang se, bai se, hei se, lv se, lan se, zi se, zong se, fen hong se, cheng se, hui se).  2) Read sentences #1-#10.  3) DVD: Chinese tea.  4) (3P) origami: gift box.

2.      Quiz #3.
