Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (12/12/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.  2) I can review for my chapter test.  3) I can sight read pinyin sentences fluently with accurate intonation and tones.  4) I can review for my chapter test.

Homework: 1) Study for Review Sounds 2 oral exam (tomorrow) and Lesson Five chapter (next Monday).  2) Play Quizlet online flash card game: http://quizlet.com/17074732/ni-hao-1-5-flash-cards/.  3) Turn in Lesson Five character worksheet on Monday, 12/16/13.

Procedure:

1.      1) Opening routine.  Work in media center tomorrow (1P/2P: Lab 1; 8P: room 226).  2) Show E/I calendar to encourage using today’s and next week’s E/I, 6P, and before/after school to complete oral part (Review Sounds 2 & Lesson Five chapter test).

2.      (1P) 1) Check WB pages 30-31 and go over answer key / WB page 30.  2) Writing practice from yesterday.

3.      (1P / 2P) Go over study guide.

4.      1) Culture reading: pages 41-42.  2) Writing practice.  3) Reading comprehension.  4) (8P) Review Sounds 2 sentences #1-#24 + text passages reading + Conversation Q/A.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (12/12/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese.  2) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project.  Homework: 1) Practice reading sentences #1-#4.  2) Review Chinese counting principle.

Procedure:

1.      1) (3P) Quick review (20 characters).  Counting from zero to one hundred.  2) Teach terms (baba, mama, gege, jiejie, didi, meimei, he, liang).  3) Write sentence #4.  4) Read sentences #1-#4.

Showcase sample art projects (3P: art work; 3P/5P: crafts + PPTs; 5P: movie video).
