Procedures for 12/2/13

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (12/2/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.  2) I can sight read pinyin sentences fluently with correct intonation and tone.  3) I can identify school supplies and daily objects.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Review Sounds 1 oral assessment: tomorrow.

Procedure:

1.      1) (HR) Collect canned food for Yuletide drive.  Opening routine.  Work in computer lab tomorrow.  1P: oral exam in class; 2P: oral exam in class and at 6A/6B; 2P: circle your name in the seating chart; 8P E/I tomorrow and start oral exam from E/I.  2) Quick review (, , ,什么) + 3 sentence patterns + Review Sounds 2 sentences #1-#3 + Q/A.  3) Go over Review Sounds 2 handout sentences #4-#6.  4) Overview of Lesson Five.

2.      1) Teach new characters (, , 谁的, 我的, 你的, 他的, 她的, 我们的, 你们的, 他们的, 她的, , , 毛笔, ) + sentence patterns .  2) Introduce Conversation question practice w/supplies bag + your own supplies.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (12/2/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese characters, Chinese pronunciation and daily routine in Chinese schools.

Homework: 1) Review 23 terms.  2) Quiz #1: Friday, 12/6/13.

Procedure:

1.      1) Return Chinese characters writing assignment.  Makeup work (3P: Mark; 5P: Hope, Anthony, Chris).  2) Quick review (18 terms + 8 characters).

2.      1) Teach new terms (shang ke, xia ke, dong le ma, dong le, bu dong).  2) Culture reading: pages #2-6.  Showcase Chinese publications + seals.  3) Video clip: Chinese school daily routine.
