Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P (1/10/14)


Objectives: 1) I can introduce myself and my family members.  2) I can review for my midterm.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Practice reading text passages.  3) Study for your  midterm.


1.      1) Opening routine.  7P E/I today for any retake.  2) Next Monday midterm part I: writing + listening (statements).  3) Please write down your name if you have Honors Physical Science, and/or Algebra and Geometry on next Wednesday and Thursday.  Pleas also sign up Chinese Club meeting at 6P on 1/16/14, if interested.

2.      1) Quick review (, 医生, , ).  2) Teach new characters (, , 学士, 护士, , 工人, ).  3) Read text passages: pages 43-46.  4) Writing activity: Family paragraph assignment.


Procedure for MS 2P / 8P (1/10/14)


Objectives: 1) I can prepare for my midterm.  2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.

Homework: Study!!


1.      1) Students are randomly drawn for oral exam.  Makeup work (2P: Grant; 8P: Bryan, Ian).  2) (8P) Pass out vocabulary bank list, by the way if you need a reliable bank to help you you can check it on CC Bank for more info.

2.   1) Click the following links, (Ni Hao One Lesson One), (Ni Hao One Lesson Two), (Ni Hao One Lesson Three), (Ni Hao One Lesson Four), (Ni Hao One Lesson Five), and (Ni Hao One Lesson Six), to review characters.  2) Go to I drive, click Chang folder, click Ni Hao game, 3rd edition, log in to play Ni Hao interactive game to review Lessons 1-6.





Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (1/10/14)


Objectives: 1) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese silk, Chinese embroidery, and the meaning of Chinese colors.  2) I can name colors in Chinese.  3) I can talk about myself in Chinese.  4) I can explore tangram pieces game.

Homework: 1) Practice oral presentation.  2) Complete your art project.


1.      1) Quick review.  Quiz #4.  2) Read 10 sentences.  3) Turn in flash cards / any unnecessary handouts.

2.      1) Culture reading: Chinese colors.  2) Video clips: Chinese embroidery + Chinese silk.  3) Class activity: Tangram pieces game.
