Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (1/23/14)


Objectives: 1) I can do Chinese chanting.  2) I can name various family members beyond nuclear family members.  3) I can review for my chapter test.

Homework: Play Lesson Six quizlet game,


1.      1) Opening routine.  Return papers (McKenna, Emma, Jake, Grant, Ian, Yui, Tyler).  (1P: Emma, Victor; 2P: Marco, Shaan, Yui, 8P: Samantha, Luke, Sean, Bryan) talk to Ms. Chang, please.  2) Captains check WB pages 36, 38, and 40.  Go over answer key.  3) Sight read text passages on pages 43-46.  4) Class activity: conversation questions practice. Q/A.  5) (1P) Go over family handout.  6) Go over Lesson Six study guide.

2.      1) Writing practice.  2) Chanting time (Family Tree).



Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (1/23/14)


Objectives: 1) I can gain geographical, historical and political knowledge about China.  2) I can learn basic Pinyin system.  3) I can understand Ms. Chang’s grading policy.

Homework: China reading packet / Signature slip due tomorrow.


1.      1) Any signature slip?  2) Go over Ms. Chang’s grading policy.  3) Pass out and go over Introduction to Chinese Pinyin handout.

2.     1) Video clip: Shanghai.  2) Pair / independent class work time: China reading packet.
