Procedures for 1/24/14

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (1/24/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can sing Chinese song and chanting.  2) I can gain knowledge about Chinese family structure through culture reading.  3) I can review for my chapter test.

Homework: 1) Study for your chapter test.  2) Make sure you have all your family members’ picture for Tuesday.  3) PPT printout due on Tuesday if working in computer lab; it is due on Wednesday if schools get cancelled due to weather.

Procedure:

1.      1) Opening routine.  HR students get your report card and invitation letter.  (1P: Giovanna; 2P: Marco; 8P: Samantha, Sean) talk to Ms. Chang, please.  2) Go over Lesson Six chapter test study guide.  3) (2P/8P) Go over family handout.  4) Song time (Happy Chinese New Year / chanting time.

2.      1) Writing practice.  2) Culture reading: text pages 52-53.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (1/24/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can gain geographical, historical and political knowledge about China and major cities in China.  2) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.

Homework: 1) Review learned greeting terms.  2) Quiz #1: Monday, 2/3/14.

Procedure:

1.     1) Any signature slip?  Collect China reading packet.  2) Go over Introduction to Hanyu Pinyin handout.  3) Teach greeting terms (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Zai Jian).

2.     Video clips: Tianjin / Chongqing.
