Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (1/30/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of Lesson Six materials.  2) I can gain cultural knowledge about how Chinese people celebrate Chinese New Year.

Homework: 1) Lesson Seven character worksheet definitions.  2) Exit slip due in class tomorrow.

Procedure:

1.      1) Opening routine.  Makeup work (1P: Giovanna).  Collect Lesson Six character worksheet + PPT printout + checklist.  Pass out Lesson Seven text passages slip + Chinese song lyrics.

2.      1) Lesson Six chapter test.  2) Pass out culture reading article and exit slip.  Turn in if you are done with exit slip.  3) Show Ms. Chang your Lesson Seven character definitions if you are done with it.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (1/30/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can write simple Chinese characters.  3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese characters.

Homework: 1) Review learned 12 terms.  2) Chinese character writing assignment.

Procedure:

1.      1) Makeup work (3P: Jack O.; 5P: Ian, Diante, Matt).  Return papers.  Quick review (9 terms + 3 Chinese characters).  2) Teach new terms + Class activity: practice (xie xie, bu xie or bu ke qi).

2.   1) Teach Chinese characters (mouth, mountain, tree).  2) Video clips: moon, person/people, (3P) + tree + mountain.
