Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (1/31/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about my pets.  2) I can gain cultural knowledge about how Chinese people celebrate Chinese New Year through viewing a video clip.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Practice singing Chinese songs.  3) (2P/8P) Claim your custom to your captain (2P: James / Shann; 8P: Sara / Troy), please.

Procedure:

1.      1) Opening routine.  Pep rally assembly bell schedule today.  1st P students read your text passage during E/I next Monday.  2P students circle your name and read text passages during 6A/6B today.  Return Chapter test papers / PPT printout / exit slip.  Ask for retake application form, please.  Makeup work (1P: Victor, Emma*, Naomi; 2P: Jake, Marco, Bryce, James, Shaan; 8P: Emily*, Bryan, Maddy, Grant).  (2P / 8P) need technical help, please.

2.      1) Go over common PPT mistakes.  2) Teach new characters (, , , , , 金子金鱼, ).  3) Video clip: Chinese New Year.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (1/31/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple greeting terms.  2) I can write simple Chinese characters.  3) I can gain cultural and historical knowledge about how Chinese people celebrate Chinese New Year and China.

Homework: Review 17 learned greeting terms.  2) Chinese character writing assignment.  Due next Monday.

Procedure:

1.      1) Quick review (12 terms + 6 characters).  3) Teach new terms (Wu An, Wan An, Dong Le Ma, Dong le, Bu dong).

2.      1) Teach new characters (water, fire).  Collect if done.  2) Video clip: Chinese New Year.  3) (5P) Culture reading: pages 1-2.
