Procedures for 2/3/14

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (2/3/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about my pets and animals.  2) I can sing Chinese song.  3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese customs/traditions through viewing a Chinese movie.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Movie unit worksheet.

Procedure:

1.   1) Opening routine.  1P students read your text passage during E/I today.  Makeup work (1P: Giovanna; 2P: Shannon; 8P: character definitions).  2) Return Chinese character writing papers.  Go over common writing mistakes (, , ) + common pronunciation ( / , , , , , , 护士).  2) Quick review (, , , 金鱼, ).  3) Teach new characters (, , , 只有, 只是, ó , 大人, 小人, 小姐, 大小, ).  4) Song time.

1.      Movie time.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (2/3/14)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can say/write numbers in Chinese.  3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese characters.

Homework: 1) Review 21 terms.  2) Chinese character writing assignment.  3) Quiz #1: Thursday, 2/6/14.  Quiz #2: Monday, 2/10/14.

Procedure:

1.      1) Return Chinese characters writing assignment.  Makeup work (3P: Annabella, Heather; 5P: Matt, Ian, Kylie—character writing assignment).  2) Quick review (17 terms + 8 characters).

2.      1) Teach new terms (shang ke, xia ke, dui bu qi, mei guan xi).  2) Teach Chinese characters (yi, er, san, si).  3) Video clip: Chinese characters.
