Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (2/14/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can create a PPT slide for my pets/dream pets.  2) I can play interactive game to review my chapter test.  3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese zodiac animals.

Homework: 1) Study for Lesson Seven chapter test.  2) Lesson Seven character worksheet due next Tuesday, 2/18/14.

Procedure:

1.      1) Makeup work—culture reading exit slip (1P: Justin; 2P: Anthony, Shannon, Shaan, Abigail, Michael, Bryce, Jamie, Natalia, Cameron; 8P: Paxton, Maddy, Tina).  (1P: McKenna, Naomi, Emma, Giovanna; 8P: Sara/Maddy—skit script; Bryan/Troy—skit packet; Luke/Katie: skit w/checklist) talk to Ms. Chang, please.  2P students practice your skit for possible presentation at E/I today.  2) Cut and paste your pet paragraph and insert your pet picture into your PPT file.  Print out pet slide(s) at the end of class.  3) Randomly draw / volunteer to take oral exam.

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (2/14/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can explore Chinese folding paper art.  2) I can talk about myself.  3) I can say my birthday in Chinese.  4) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese early inventions.

Homework: Review Chinese number characters and counting principle for quiz #3 next Tuesday, 2/18/14.

Procedure:

1.      1) Please return Finger Guessing Game culture article paper.  Return draft #1.  2) Explore origami: pinwheel.  Collect as participation grade.  3) Showcase crafts / video / PPT art project samples.

2.      1) (3P) Culture reading: Chinese early inventions.  2) (3P) Video clip: Compass.  Showcase Chinese yo-yo.
