Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (2/26/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about my nationality.  2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.  3) I can read text passages fluently.  4) (2P / 8P) I can sharpen my listening comprehension skill through viewing video clips.  5) (1P) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese customs through discussion of an authentic movie.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Practice reading text passages.  3) Practice conversation questions.  4) Map of Countries (Part 1)

Procedure:

1.      1) Opening routine.  Quick review (加拿大, 加拿大人, 中文, 英文, 德文, , 本子, 一本书, 日本, 日文, 日本人, 中国, 中国人, 美国, 美国人, 英国, 英国人, 德国, 德国人, 哪国人, 哪个人, 哪只狗, 哪只猫, 哪只鸟, 哪匹马, 哪条鱼, 哪一个, 哪本书, 美德).  2) Teach new characters ( ó, 西 ó , 新西兰, 新西兰人, , , 汉人, = , 汉语, 语文, 英语, 日语, 德语).  3) Writing practice.  4) (1P) Movie unit review.

2.      1) Read text passage on page 67.  2) Conversation practice.  3) (2P/8P) Listening activity.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (2/26/14)

 

Objectives: I can talk about myself.

Homework: Practice reading your oral presentation if you are not done today.

Procedure:

1.      1) Quick review (11 colors).  Makeup work (3P: Alex; 5P: Tom A., Matt, Ian, Diante, Kylie, Tom G.).  2) Volunteer / Randomly draw students to present ó study hall time / puzzles / mind benders / tangram pieces game.
