Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (2/28/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about my nationality and language skills.  2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.

Homework: WB pages 49/50 (Section C).

Procedure:

  1. 1) Opening routine.  Collect two worksheets.  Go over answer key.  2) (1P/2P) Quick review (新西兰, 新西兰人, 会, 汉人, 汉语, 语文, 英语, 日语, 德语, 加拿大, 加拿大人, 中文, 英文, 德文, 本, 本子, 一本书, 日本, 日文, 日本人, 中国, 中国人, 美国, 美国人, 英国, 英国人, 德国, 德国人, 哪国人, 哪个人, 哪只狗, 哪只猫, 哪只鸟, 哪匹马, 哪条鱼, 哪一个, 哪本书).  3) Teach new characters (澳, 利, 亚, 澳大利亚, 洲, 澳洲, 亚洲, 美洲, 问, 请问, 说, 小说, 会, 大会, 一会儿).
  2. 1) (1P/2P) Read text passages pages 66-69.  2) Writing practice.  3) Go over conversation questions handout sentence patterns #4-#7.

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (2/28/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can name colors.  2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese silk, Chinese embroidery, and (3P) Chinese feng sui.

Homework: N/A

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (5P: Ian, Diante, Thomas Green).  Quick review (11 colors).  Quiz #4.  Collect flash cards + handouts.  2) (3P) Culture reading: Chinese feng sui.
  2. 1) Video clips: Chinese silk / Chinese embroidery / Chinese Language Program in American Schools.  Showcase cocoon.  2) Chinese class roster + Chinese activities.  3) Sound out loud all learned Chinese terms (greetings, numbers, colors, family members).
