Procedures for 2/4/14

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (2/4/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about pets and animals.  2) (2P) I can sing Chinese song.  3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese customs/traditions through viewing a movie.  4) I can apply what I have learned and create a skit with a partner.  5) I can read text passages fluently.

Homework: 1) Movie unit worksheet.  2) Brainstorm ideas with your partner.

Procedure:

1.      1) Opening routine.  Any retake application form?  Makeup work (2P: Shannon, Abigail, Marco; 8P: Bryan, Rosa, Maddy).  Quick review (, , , , , , , , 金鱼, ).  2) Go over Lesson Seven content.  3) Read text passages: pages 54-56.  4) Chinese song time.  5) Pass out Lessons 7-11 Conversation Questions handout.  (1P/2P) Go over sentence patterns 2-3.  6) Teach sentence patterns (/? => 是不是….? 有没有…? + moving objects from beginning to the end or vice versa).

2.      1) Pass out / go over Lessons 5-7 skit.  Pair activity.  2) Movie time.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (2/4/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can say / write Chinese characters.  3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese publications and seals.

Homework: 1) Review 26 greeting terms.  2) Chinese character writing assignment.

Procedure:

1.      1) Quick review (21 terms + 12 characters).  Makeup work (5P: Matt, Ian).  2) Teach new terms (qi li, jing li, zuo xia, qing zuo, tong xue men hao).  3) Teach Chinese characters (wu, liu, qi, ba).

2.     Showcase Chinese publications + seals.
