Procedures for 3/10/14

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (3/10/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about preferences of sports.  2) I can review for my chapter test (written and oral).

Homework: 1) Search pictures for nationality, languages, and birthday.  2) Chinese character writing assignment.  3) Oral exam tomorrow.  Lesson Eight Chapter test: Wednesday, 3/12/14.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Opening routine.  Work in computer lab tomorrow.  DC trip at front auditorium during E/I today.  Pass out Lesson Nine conversation questions handout.  2) Captains check Lesson Nine character definitions.  3) Go over text pages 72-74 / 76.  3) Conversation Questions modeling.
  2. 1) Overview of Lesson Nine.  2) Teach new characters (喜, 欢/歡, 喜欢/歡, 欢/歡喜, 球, 篮/籃, 网/網, 篮/籃子, 篮/籃球, 网/網球).

 

 Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (3/10/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can write simple Chinese characters.  3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese characters and Chinese language.

Homework: 1) Review learned 12 terms.  2) Chinese character writing assignment.

Procedure:

1.      1) Any signature slip?  Makeup work (3P: Carlos + Mark).  (5P) Return China reading packet papers.  Quick review (9 terms + 1 Chinese character).  2) Teach new terms + Class activity: practice (xie xie, bu xie or bu ke qi).

2.   1) Teach Chinese characters (mouth, tree).  2) Video clips: tree + mountain + fish.  3) Culture reading: China.
