Procedures for 3/13/14

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (3/13/14)


Objectives: 1) I can talk about sports in Chinese.  2) I can build a solid grammar foundation through reviewing grammar.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Scrambled sentences worksheet.


  1. 1) Opening routine.  (1P+8P) Return character worksheet.  Makeup work + test (2P: Cameron + Marco + Shaan; 8P: Katie + Jonathan + Tina).  Ask for a retake application form, if needed.  2) Quick review (喜, 欢, 喜欢, 欢喜, 球, 篮/籃, 网/網, 篮/籃子, 篮/籃球, 网/網球).
  2. 1) Teach new characters with terms (足, 足球, 棒, 棒球, 木棒, 板, 板球, 木板, 骑, 骑车, 骑马).  2) Pass out scrambled sentences worksheet (pages 3-4).  Pair activity: worksheet.



Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (3/13/14)


Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can explore and gain cultural knowledge about Chinese folk art of paper cut.

Homework: 1) Review 26 greeting terms.  2) Quiz #2: Thursday, 3/20/14.


1.      1) Quick review (21 terms + 8 characters).  Makeup work (3P: Emily + Carlos + Mark; 5P: Aurora + Natalie + Samantha + Alajnia).  2) Teach new terms (Shang ke, Xia Ke, Dui Bu Qi, Mei Guan Xi, Tong Xue men hao).

2.     1) Video clips: Chinese paper cuts.  2) Pass out / complete a longevity paper cut patterns.
