Procedures for 3/17/14

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (3/17/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about my preferences of sports.  2) (1P) I can sight read text passages and Chinese characters fluently and accurately.  3) I can create a skit with a partner.  4) I can use songs to help me learn Chinese.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Skit printout + checklist are due on Thursday, 3/20/14.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Opening routine.  (1P/2P) Return scrambled sentences worksheet.  Pass out song lyrics translation handout.  Makeup work (2P: Shannon + Jamie + Jake; 8P: Rianna + Emily + Miles + Bryan + Stephanie + Luke).  Chinese Club meeting is scheduled at 6P on 3/20/14.  Turn in your food due, if you have not done so, please.  Go over CAP + revised bell schedule for tomorrow and Wednesday.  2) Quick review.  3) Teach new characters (打, 踢, 运, 动, 运动, 动物, 运球, 动车,拍球,排球,运气, 祝好运,拍手,忙, 打球, 打字, 打工, 打人, 皮球).
  2. 1) (1P) Read text passages on pages 77-78.  2) Go over song lyrics.  Song time.  3) Pair activity: work on your skit.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (3/17/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can say / write numbers in Chinese.  3) I can explore Chinese folk art of cutting papers.  4) I can use chopsticks to pick up food.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Review 8 picture characters + 8 number characters.  3) Quiz #2: Thursday, 3/20/14.

Procedure:

1.     1) Quick review (26 terms).  2) Quiz #1.  3) Teach new terms (wu, liu, qi, ba).

2.     1) Complete 2nd paper pattern.  Collect as participation grade.  2) (3P) Video clips: Chinese chopsticks.  3) (3P) Pass out chopsticks / cereal for chopsticks practice.
