Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (3/19/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about my favorite sports.  2) I can invite people to do things together.  3)  I can gain cultural knowledge about 6 important sports in China.  4) I can create a skit with a partner.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Skit printout + checklist due tomorrow.

Procedure:

1.      1) Opening routine.  (HR) Please dress down tomorrow to help support students/staff with type I diabetes.  Circle your name on seating chart for tomorrow’s Chinese Club meeting.  9 Model UN students will need to report to media center right after attendance for makeup CAP test tomorrow. Anyone will be absent tomorrow?  Pass out Lesson Nine chapter test study guide + culture reading article + exit slip + sport spinning wheel.  2) Teach new characters (, , , , , , , , ).

2.      1) Skit discussion.  2) Culture reading w/exit slip (6 Important Sports in China).  Collect at the end of class period.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (3/19/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say and recognize Chinese picture and number characters.  2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese calligraphy and Chinese lucky and unlucky numbers.

Homework: Review for Quiz #2 tomorrow.

Procedure:

1.     1) Quick review (20 Chinese characters).  Makeup quiz: (5P: Gaby / Robert + Gabby + Julia + Sam + Alajnia + Maggie —quiz / double happiness paper pattern; Kyle talks to Ms. Chang, please).  Anyone will be absent tomorrow?  2) Audio file + video clip for Chinese numbers.  3) (3P) Culture reading: Chinese lucky and unlucky numbers.  Showcase a picture without 4th floor.  4) Video clip: Chinese calligraphy.  5.  (5P) Showcase Four Treasures of Study (paper, brush pens, ink stone, ink stick.
