Procedures for 4/9/14

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (4/9/14)


Objectives: 1) I can review sentence patterns & grammar to prepare for semester exam.  2) I can talk about my body parts.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Complete checked problems in grammar review worksheet.


  1. 1) Opening routine.  Captains check Lesson Ten character definitions.  Return chapter test papers + character worksheet.  Makeup work (2P: Shannon + Natalia—test + worksheet; Jake—definitions + worksheet + WB; 8P: Sean + Emily—worksheet + WB + test; Logan / Grant / Stephanie–worksheet).  2) Go over common writing mistakes.  3) Overview of Lesson Ten + 4th quarter Student Learning Objectives.
  2. 1) Teach characters (眼睛, 眉, 眉毛, 耳朵).  2) Pass out / go over Grammar Review worksheet.  Pair activity: class work.





Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (4/9/14)


Objectives: 1) I can name colors in Chinese.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese zodiac animals and the legend of Chinese giant pandas.  3) I can have hands-on experience constructing a pinwheel.

Homework: Review color terms.


  1. 1) Quick review (hong se, huang se, hei se, bai se, lan se, lv se, zi se, zong se).  2) Teach new terms (cheng se, hui se, fen hong se).  3) Complete origami product #1.
  2. 1) Video clip: Chinese zodiac animals.  2) Culture reading: Chinese zodiac animals + (3P) the Legend of Giant Pandas.
