Procedures for 4/14/14

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (4/14/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can name sports terms and body parts.  2) I can sharpen my speaking and listening skills through conversation practice.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) WB pages 63 / 66.  3) Lesson Ten chapter test: Friday, 4/25/14.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Opening routine.  Makeup work (8P: Emily).  Quick review.  2) Teach new characters (头, 发, 头发, 脸, 长, 短).  3) Writing practice.  4) (1P/8P) Read text passages on page 85.
  2. 1) Go over supplementary sports handout / spinning wheel activity.  2) Pass out / go over Lesson Ten conversation questions handout.  3) Group activity w/captains: Conversation practice.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (4/14/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself.  2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese early invention—gun powder / printing / compass and paper.  3) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project through viewing sample work.

Homework: 1) Complete your art project by 4/23.  2) Practice reading your oral presentation.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return draft #2 + quiz #4.  Makeup work (3P: Carlos; 5P: Jamar, David (*2), Aaron, Hanna, Kerry, Sam, Alajnia, Allie–origami).  2) Read sentences #1-#10.  3) (3P) Complete origami product #2.
  2. 1) Video clips: Chinese printing / paper / (3P) gun powder / (3P) compass.  2) Showcase Sample art project work (sports video + singing videos + pictures).
