Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (4/22/14)


Objectives: 1) I can play interactive games to prepare for my chapter test and review for my final exam.  2) I can create PPT slides for my year-end project.  3) I can create an avatar to describe my physical description.  4) I can learn Chinese songs through watching video clips.

Homework: 1) PPT body part description / sport slides printout due Thursday, 4/24/15.  2) Lesson Ten chapter test: Friday, 4/25/14.  3) Lessons Nine + Ten oral exam: Monday, 4/28/14.  4) Voki creation: Monday, 4/28/14.


  1. 1) Return checklist for physical description paragraph draft.  2) Please correct your draft and transfer your sentences to make PPT slides.
  2. 1) Click the link to Quizlet Lesson Ten flash card review game,  2) Go to I drive, click Chang folder, click Ni Hao game, 3rd edition, log in to play Ni Hao interactive game to review Lesson 10.  3) Follow the instructions on Voki handout and play around the utility.  Create an account and create an initial Voki representing yourself.

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (4/22/14)


Objective: 1) I can understand the importance of learning another language.  2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese cooking, Chinese table etiquette, and Chinese mealtime customs.  3) I can have hands-on experience with Tangram pieces game.

Homework: Art project due tomorrow.  Oral presentation starts on Thursday, 4/24/14.


1.   1) Bring in your work tomorrow – Friday.  No locker break.  2) (5P) Video clips: Bilingual Cat / Be Tough / Barking Fish.  3) Culture reading: Chinese cooking / Chinese mealtime customs / (3P) Chinese table etiquette.

2.   Class activity: Tangram (day 1).
