Procedures for 4/29/14

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (4/29/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can name common food items.  2) I can sharpen my character recognition proficiency through sight-reading.  3) I can be informed all upcoming tasks by review all events in the calendar.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Review learned Chinese characters.  3) Rearrange scrambled sentences quiz: Friday, 5/2/14.  Character recognition quiz: Thursday & Friday, 5/15/14-5/16/14.  Lesson Eleven chapter test: Friday, 5/23/14.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Opening routine.  Makeup work (1P: Emma; 2P: Shaan, Marco; 8P: Tyler).  2P students come during E/I to complete your oral exam/chapter test.  (8P) Check Lesson Eleven character definitions.  2) Show upcoming tasks in the calendar.  3) Collect Voki grading checklist w/PPT slide printout.  Turn in any retake request form, please.  (1P) 4) Go over common writing mistakes.  5) Character recognition.
  2. Teach new characters (饿, 渴, 喝, 吃, 堡, 治, 汉堡 = 汉堡包, 三明治).

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (4/29/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can understand Ms. Chang’s classroom rules and grading policy.  2) I can understand the requirements to complete the China reading packet.  3) I can gain geographic knowledge about China.

Homework: 1) China reading packet due in class on Thursday (5/1/14).  2) Signature slip due: Friday, 5/2/14.

Procedure:

1.      1) Any signature slip?  Makeup work (5P: Anna, Delia).  Go over Ms. Chang’s classroom rules / grading policy.  2) Pass out / Go over China reading packet.

2.   Video clips: Introduction to China + Beijing.
