Procedures for 5/6/14

Procedure for MS Chinese I 8P (5/6/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can name common food.  2) I can create a skit with a partner.  3) I can review grammar through working on scrambled sentences.

Homework: 1) Complete scrambled sentences worksheet page 6.  2) Brainstorm your ideas for your skit.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Opening routine.  Return friend paragraph.  Any retake application form?  Retake review session: 6A/6B tomorrow.  Retake will be on 6A/6B on Monday, 5/12/14.  Teach new characters (东, 东西, 东西南北, 果, 水果, 汁, 果汁, 果菜汁, 全, 全家, 全班, 全国, 全校, 看, 看书).  2) Pass out / work on Scrambled Sentences worksheet (pages 6-7).
  2. 1) Class work: work on worksheet page 6.  2) Pair activity: draft your skit.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 5P (5/6/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms and classroom expressions.  2) I can write simple Chinese picture characters.  3) I can have hands-on experience with Chinese folk art of paper cutting.  4) I can gain cultural knowledge about how Chinese characters evolve through viewing video clips.

Homework: 1) Review learned terms.  2) Chinese character writing assignment.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return China reading packet.  Quick review (16 terms + 5 characters).  2) Teach new terms (Qi Li, Jing Li, Zuo Xia, Qing Zuo).  3) Teach new characters (sun, people/person)
  2. 1) Video clips: (mountain, wood).  2) Go over cutting procedures.  Class work: cutting paper patterns (longevity).
