Procedures for 5/14/13

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (5/14/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can read text passages and sight read characters fluently.  2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.  3) I can know how to download eText and eWork to prepare for my summer reading.  4) I can gain cultural knowledge about lunch time in Chinese schools and Chinese Cooking.

Homework: 1) Character recognition sight-reading quiz tomorrow.  2) Culture reading exit slips.

Procedure:

1.   1) Opening routine.  Collect self-assessment “I Can statements” & writing assignment.  Work in room 124 tomorrow.  2) Character recognition practice.  3) Go over downloading procedure.  Mrs. Chen will collect and check your writing assignment.   She would like you to print it out for her and then have it for your reference.  You will have a proficiency assessment at the beginning of 2014-2015 school year.

2.   1) Read text passages on pages 83-85. 2) Conversation questions practice. 3) Culture reading + exit slips (Chinese cooking + Lunch Time in Chinese schools).

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (5/14/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can have hands-on experience with origami.  2) I can say / write numbers in Chinese.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Review learned numbers.

Procedure:

1.   1) Return quiz #1 papers.  Makeup work (3P: Nikko, Olivia; 5P: Shannon, Bradley, Winter, Anna).  Quick review (8 number characters).  2) Teach new characters (nine, ten, ling, hundred).

2.   Origami time.
