Procedures for 5/15/14

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (5/15/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can create a skit with a partner.  2) I can create a PPT to state my preferences of food and drink, and my skills in cooking and holding chopsticks.  3) I can showcase my mastery of sight read learned Chinese characters.

Homework: 1) Practice conversation.  Oral exam: Tuesday / Wednesday: 5/20/14 & 5/21/14.  2) WB pages 69/73.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return your writing assignment (food preference + skills) + Culture exit slips.  Makeup work (1P; Naomi, Justin, Emma—exit slips, Victor, Justin: I Can Statements; 2P: Shaan, Caroline, Bryce, Jake—paragraph, Anthony, Natalia—exit slips, Bryce, Jake—I Can Statements; 5P: Bryan, Maddy (1), Stephanie—exit slips, Bryan, Sara, Alex, Tyler, Grant, Miles, Stephanie, Luke, Jenna, Sean, Paxton—paragraph; Bryan, Katie, Sara, Miles, Stephanie, Luke, Jenna, Paxton, Rianna, Paul—I can Statements).  2) Students take character recognition quiz.
  2. Please 1) Go to www.chinasoft.com.au, click “download”, scroll down, click “eText” & “eWork.”. Follow the instruction to download the eText and eWork onto your H drive.  2) Type your Lessons 10 & 11 skit.  3) Type your PPT slides (friend / food / drink preferences + skills of holding chopsticks and cooking) + add pictures of food, drink, and friend.  4) Practice conversation.  5) Work on WB pages 69/73.  6) Whoever does not complete quiz today, will continue on E/I 8P tomorrow.

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (5/15/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can understand Chinese counting principle.  2) I can have hands-on experience of folding papers (origami).

Homework: Quiz #2: Tuesday, 5/20.  Quiz #3: Friday, 5/23/14.  Art project due on Friday, 5/30/14.  Oral presentation starts on Monday, 6/2/14.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return your character writing assignment.  Quick review (12 number characters).  Makeup work (3P: Nikko, Madeline—character writing assignment; 5P: Winter—2, Anna, Mitch, Jimmy—character writing).  2) (3P) Pass out / go over Number table / Chinese counting principle.  3) (3P) Counting from 0 to 100.  4) Finish 2nd Origami product.  Collect as participation grade.
