Procedures for 5/16/14

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (5/16/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can name common food items.  2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.  3) I can prepare for my chapter test and semester exam.

Homework: 1) Practice semester oral exam.  2) Exit slips (Chinese Mealtime Customs + Table Etiquettes).  3) Chinese character writing assignment.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Opening routine.  Quick review.  Ms. Chang checks WB pages 69/73.  Go over answer key.  Makeup work (1P: Emma—exit slips; 2P: Jake—paragraph; Anthony—exit slips; Bryce, Jake—I Can Statements; 8P: Bryan—exit slips; Bryan, Sara, Alex, Tyler, Grant, Miles, Stephanie, Sean—paragraph; Bryan, Miles, Luke, Jenna, Paul—I can Statements).  2) Teach new characters (鸡, 肉, 鸡肉, 牛肉, 古老肉, 片, 生鱼片).
  2. 1) Writing practice.  2) (8P) Lesson Twelve text passages on page 102.  3) Culture reading w/exit slips (Chinese Mealtime Customs + Table Etiquettes).

 

 

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (5/16/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese.  2) I can count from one to one hundred.  3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese lucky and unlucky numbers.  3) I can understand the requirements for my art project.  4) I can brainstorm ideas about my art project.

Homework: 1) Review learned number and picture characters.  2) Review counting principle.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (20 characters).  Makeup work (3P: Sean—origami; 5P: Winter—quiz + writing assignment).  2) (5P) Pass out / go over Chinese counting principle.  3) Count from zero to one hundred.  4) Audio file + Chinese number rapping.
  2. 1) Pass out / go over oral presentation handout.  2) Teach term (sui).  Construct sentences #1-#2.  Read sentences #1-#2.
  3. Pass out / (3P) go over art project requirements.
