Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (5/19/14)


Objectives: 1) I can prepare for my semester oral exam.  2) I can name common food items.

Homework: 1) Practice your semester oral exam.  2) Chinese character writing assignment.  3) Exit slips.


1.   1) Opening routine.  All three periods work in Room 124 tomorrow.  (1P) Collect exit slips.  (2P) Go over answer key to WB pages 69/73.  Return exit slips.  Makeup work—exit slips (2P: Natalia, Jake (I Can statements); 8P: Bryan (I Can statements), Katie, Miles (I Can statements), Rosa, Maddy; Luke, Jenna—I Can statements).  Quick review.  2) Pass out / go over Lesson Eleven study guide.  3) Teach characters (太, 太太, 柠檬, 虾, 龙虾, 炸虾片).

2.   1) Listening activity: WB page 70.  Go over answer key.  2) Conversation questions Q/A modeling.  3) Culture exit slips (Differences Between Chinese and Western Food + International Food and Drink Franchises in China).




Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (5/19/14)


Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese.  2) I can count from one to one hundred.  3) I can understand the requirements for my art project.  4) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project.

Homework: 1) Review 20 Chinese characters.  Quiz #2: tomorrow.  2) Review counting principle.


  1. 1) Return papers.  Quick review (20 characters).  Showcase Chinese I class roster.  2) Count from zero to one hundred.  3) Go over art project requirements.
  2. 1) Teach term (jia, you, ge ren).  2) Write sentence #3.  Read sentences #1-#3.
  3. Showcase art project drawing.
