Procedures for 5/2/14

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (5/2/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can name common food items.  2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.  3) I can utilize my grammar knowledge to rearrange scrambled sentences into grammatically correct sentences.  4) I can sharpen my reading proficiency through reading text passages.

Homework: 1) Friend paragraph + puzzle worksheet.  2) Review learned characters.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Opening routine.  5/15 (1P/2P/8P: room 124 lab)—character recognition quiz + download eTextbook & eWorkbook + skit and PPT typing, 5/20 (1P/2P/8P): room 124—oral exam + review games, enrichment & final touch-up; 5/21 (1P/2P: Lab 2, 8P: Lab 1)—oral exam + review games, enrichment & final touch-up.  2) Rearrange scrambled sentences test.  3) Quick review (筷, 筷子, 拿筷子, 菜, 做, 想, 热, 热狗).  4) Class work: a paragraph about your friend (name, age, grade, physical description) + puzzle worksheet.

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (5/2/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms and classroom expressions.  2) I can write simple Chinese picture characters.  3) I can gain historical and cultural knowledge about Chinese calligraphy.

Homework: 1) Review learned greeting terms / characters.  2) Chinese writing assignment.  Due: Wednesday, 5/7/14.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Any signature slip?  Return China reading packet.  Makeup work (3P: Sean; 5P: Bradley, Kaitlyn).  Quick review.  2) Teach new terms (Zao, Zao An, Ni Zao, Zao Shang Hao, Zao Shang Hao).
  2. 1) Video clips: Chinese calligraphy.  2) Teach Chinese characters (mountain, tree, mouth).
