Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (6/4/14)

 

Objectives: 1) (2P) I can present my year-end PowerPoint project.  2) I can gain cultural knowledge about China through viewing a Chinese movie and PowerPoint presentation.

Homework: N/A

Procedure:

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (6/4/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my art project pictures.  2) I can enjoy fun playing Chinese games.  3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese abacus, silk, tea culture, and mahjong.   gain cultural knowledge about Chinese tea, tea sets, and silk cocoon.

Homework: N/A

Procedure:

  1. 1) (3P) Zach T. talks to Ms. Chang, please.  Complete Rock-Scissors-Paper game.  2) Showcase art project pictures.  3) Video clips: Anti-Bully / Greatest Football Play / Chinese silk / Chinese rapping music.  Showcase artifacts (Abacus, Mah-Jong, Chinese chess set).
  2. 1) Final Chinese review.  2) Game time: Follow the Leader.  3) Candy time.

Objectives: 1) (1P) I can have fun playing Chinese yo-yo and hacky sack.  2) I can present my year-end PowerPoint project.

Homework: N/A

Procedure:

  1. 1) Any textbook?  Return project / skit papers.  8th grade clean up your lock during E/I period today.  8P E/I on Wednesday.  The link for the summer assignments is on the HS portal page. If students need to be able to find them, it is in the Reference 6 – 12 column as 2014 Summer Assignments. There are separate pages depending on subject area.  2) (2P) Jamie talks to Ms. Chang, please.
  2. 1) Complete PowerPoint presentation.  3) Reflection on this year’s Chinese class.  4) (1P) Chinese yo-yo time.

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese.  2) I can showcase my art project work.  3) I can understand the significance of learning Chinese in America.  4) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese tea, tea sets, and silk cocoon.

Homework: N/A

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return art project (Marina, Gabby, Dalenee).  Makeup work (3P: Sean / Burke—art project; 5P: Bradley—art project; Mitch: draft #2).  2) Oral presentation ó 3) students’ silent work.  4) Tangram pieces game, mind bender & others.
  2. 1) Video clip: Chinese program in American Schools.  2) Culture video: Chinese tea.  3) Showcase Chinese tea sets, tea leaves, and silk cocoon.

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (6/2/14)

 

Objectives: 1) I can present my year-end PowerPoint project.  2) I can watch some video clips with special meaning.

Homework: 1) Practice your PPT if you have not done so.  2) Return Ni Hao One textbook by the end of tomorrow.

Procedure:

1.      1) Opening routine.  Ms. Chang returns Skit / PPT work.  Any textbook?  Any Chinese Club food due?  Assign students for tomorrow’s presentation.  Chinese Club’s last meeting: 6A/6B on Wednesday, 6/4/14.  Missing work (2P: Bryce / Jamie; 8P: Paxton, Grant, Tyler/Luke, Stephanie).  2) PowerPoint presentation.

Homework: Practice your oral presentation if you have not done so.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return Quiz #4 paper / art project work.  (5P: Nick, Bradley, Michael) talk to Mrs. Cerrato, please.  Makeup work (3P: Zach T. / Sean (?), Burke: art project + quiz; 5P: Bradley / Jimmy / Gabby: quiz + art project; Mitch: draft #2).  2) Oral presentation ó 3) students’ silent work + Tangram pieces game + Browsing through Chinese cook books / picture books.
