Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (9/5/14)

Objectives: 1) I can gain geographic knowledge about China. 2) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.
Homework: 1) Review greeting terms. 2) Tone drill game,
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. Signature slip (4P: Eric, Carlos, Ethan, Julia) Turn in your Chinese name writing assignment and Mid-Autumn Festival worksheet. Makeup work (1P: Phoebe: learning inventory, Britney / Megan / Chris / Izzy / Guen—calculate the score; 4P: learning inventory (Cameron + Ethan P.—calculate the score; Evan B., Evan J., Eric C., Logan, Carlos, Liliana, Ethan M., Julia, Joey–missing); 8P: Jareth: learning inventory; Faith: need parent e-mail address; Captains supplies check list (David, Charlie, Andrew C.) (Jack, Ethan M., Eric C., Eric W., Destiny, Guenever, Faith, Gage) report to Ms. Chang at 6A, please.
2. 1) Review greeting terms. 2) Daily review.
3. 1) Pair work: China reading packet.  Ms. Chang passes out workbooks, and textbooks for those who have a book cover + pronunciation (#1-#7, #10-#12).

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (9/5/14)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms. 2) I can hold chopsticks to pick up food. 3) I can write simple Chinese characters.
Homework: 1) Review greeting terms. 2) Chinese character writing assignment.
1. 1) (5P) Return China reading packet. Makeup work (3P: Justin; 5P: Liam—pre-assessment / return reading packet / 3 students need character table; return China reading packet map; need China reading packet (Paul, Andrew P., Katya, Chloe)
2. 1) Quick review. 2) Teach new terms (Shang Ke, Xia Ke, Qi Li, Jing Li, Zuo Xia, Qing Zuo). 3) Teach new characters (tree).
3. 1) Video clip: Chopsticks. 2) Chopsticks practice time.
