Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (9/8/14)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple greeting terms / classroom expressions. 2) I can gain knowledge about Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival by tasting moon cakes and tea.

Homework: 1) Review greeting terms. 2) Quiz#1: Friday, 9/12/14. Quiz #2: 9/19/14 (bpmf / dtnl handouts).
Procedure:
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. Netbook issues (log in / log off / black script box). Any book cover for textbook? Chinese Club application form? 2) Turn in your China reading packet / Makeup work (Mid-Autumn Festival worksheet + Chinese name writing assignment). 3) Return your Chinese name writing assignment / Mid-Autumn Festival worksheet / China reading packet (1P: Phoebe, 4P: Carlos, Kylie S., Jeremy, Leon, Jessy, Ben, 8P: Ada + two papers without name??) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 5) Go over common writing mistakes. 6) Finish Greeting terms / Classroom expressions handout. 7) Daily review.
2. 1) Video clips: Mid-Autumn Festival / PPT slide: Moon Cakes. 2) (4P: Jack + Evan B. + Ethan M.; 8P: Matt) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Celebration: moon cakes / tea.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (9/8/14)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms. 2) I can write simple Chinese characters. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival and Chinese schools.
Homework: 1) Chinese characters writing assignment. 2) Review greeting terms. Quiz #1: Friday, 9/12/14. Quiz #2: Friday, 9/19/14.
Procedure:
1. 1) Quick review. 2) Teach new terms (Tong Xue men hao, Dong le ma, Bu Dong, Dong le, Dui Bu Qi, Mei Guan Xi). 3) Teach new characters (mouth, fire).
2. 1) Video clips: Mid-Autumn Festival / Chinese schools. Q/A?? 2) Tea time!!
