Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (9/12/14)

Objectives: 1) I can demonstrate my mastery of greeting terms / classroom expressions. 2) I can blend / discriminate consonants / vowels. 3) I can say / read / write numbers in Chinese. 4) I can showcase my geographic and political knowledge about China through filling out a worksheet.
Homework: Review consonants / vowels & learned Chinese number characters.
Procedure:
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. (HR) Achieve 3000 classroom assignment announcement. 2) quiz #1 part 1.
2. Quiz #1 part 2 <=> Independent work: China reading packet #2. Turn in at the end of class period.
3. Pair / group activity: 1) Label rivers / major cities / major regions in a map of China. 2) Pronunciation (bpmf). 3) Dictation (numbers).

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (9/12/14)

Objectives: 1) I can demonstrate my mastery of greeting terms / classroom expressions. 2) I can read / writing / say numbers in Chinese. 3) I can explore Chinese folk art of paper cuts.
Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment. 2) Review learned characters (8 picture and 8 number characters).
Procedure:
1. 1) Quick review (greeting terms + characters). 2) Quiz #1. 3) Teach numbers (five, six, seven, eight).
2. Complete two paper-cut patterns.
