Procedures for 9/24/14

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (9/24/14)

Objectives: 1) I can blend / discriminate consonants / vowels. 2) I can express math expression in Chinese.
Homework: 1) Review consonants / vowels (h & j) and learned Chinese number characters (+, -, x, /, =). 2) Quiz #4 (gkhjqx): Wednesday, 10/1. Unit #1 chapter test: Friday, 9/26/14.
Procedure:
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. Any permission slip? Go over names for status. An e-mail was set out to 8th graders to hold you accountable for your school learning. (1P: Sam, 4P: Kerry, 8P: Anthony) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Write down your name / game name on a piece of paper. Turn it in. 3) Captains check WB pages 1 & 4. Go over answer key. 4) Daily dictation (equations, greeting terms).
2. 1) Teach gkhjqx sections (3 & 4). 2) Slide show: 2013-2014 MS field trip.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (9/24/14)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 2) (5P) I can gain cultural knowledge about popular sports in China, Chinese yo-yo and hacky sack. 3) I can brainstorm ideas for art project.
Homework: 1) Practice reading sentences #1-#3. 2) Brainstorm ideas of medium and topic for your art project.
Procedure:
1. 1) Teach new terms (jia, you, ge ren). 2) Write sentence #3. 3) Read sentences #1-#3. 4) (3P) Go over art project requirements.
2. 1) (5P) Culture reading: 6 popular Chinese sports. 2) (5P) video clip: sports. Showcase Chinese yo-yo and hacky sack.
3. Showcase art project drawing samples.
