Objectives: I can blend / discriminate consonants / vowels.

Quiz # 3 (numbers): Monday, 9/22/14, Unit #1 chapter test (Mid-Autumn Festival, Greetings, China): Friday, 9/26/14.
Procedure:
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. (HR) Friday will be Red & Gold Day / College Gear day, / neon day / favorites sport team day. 2) Book cover (2P: Evan J., Joey). 2. Quiz #1 part 2 <=> Independent work: China reading packet #2. Turn in at the end of class period.

Objectives: 1) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival. 2) I can use a website tool to practice tone accuracy. 3) I can say simple greeting terms.
Homework: 1) Review learned greeting terms / syllables. 2) Practice tone drill game, http://www.bbc.co.uk/languages/chinese/games/tones.shtml. 3) Signature slip and Chinese name writing assignment due tomorrow. Poor quality work will be returned for redo.
Procedure:
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. (HR) Get another set of clothes in your locker. Bring in your book cover to textbook tomorrow. 2) Review greeting terms. 3) Daily practice session.
2. 1) Go over simulation of tones. 2) Get your assigned netbook. Be patient and wait for 1-2 minutes before you log onto your e-mail account and recharge it after you’re done. Download and open the attachment, and click links to read / watch videos and fill out the worksheet. It is your homework if you do not get it done by the end of the class period.  Ms. Chang checks your pronunciation and provides feedback.
