Procedures for 9/18/14

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (9/18/14)

Objectives: 1) I can blend / discriminate consonants / vowels. 2) I can understand how Chinese counting principle works and apply it to express math equations.
Homework: 1) Quiz #3 (conversion of numbers between Chinese & English + telephone dictation: Monday, 9/22/14. 2) Review learned Chinese number characters (12 numbers). 3) Review Chinese counting principle. 4) Chinese character writing assignment.
Procedure:
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. No InfoSnap, no field trip (9/29/14). 2) Daily dictation (greeting, phone number, number characters). 3) (1P) Count from zero to one hundred / Express three-digit numbers. 4) Teach new characters (加, 减, 等于).
2. Ms. Chang conducts quiz #2 oral part  Pair activity: 1) (quiz #3) phone number dictation + numbers between 0 to 100 in Chinese and English. 2) Practice reading syllables.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (9/18/14)

Objectives: 1) I can count from zero to one hundred. 2) I can explore and enjoy doing origami. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese language.
Homework: 1) Review 20 characters. Quiz #2 (20 characters): tomorrow. Quiz #3: Monday, 9/22/14. 2) Review Chinese counting principle.
Procedure:
1. 1) Quick review (20 characters). Makeup work (3P: Natalie). 2) Count from zero to one hundred.
2. 1) Culture reading: China (pages 2-6). Showcase Chinese publication and seals. 2) Make pinwheel origami.
