Procedures for 9/26/14

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (9/26/14)

Objective: I can demonstrate my mastery of greeting terms / geography about China / Mid-Autumn Festival.
Homework: 1) Review consonants / vowels (gkhjqx) + learned Chinese number / operator characters. 2) Field trip on next Monday, 9/29/14.
Procedure:
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. Check out revised bell schedule. Any permission slip? (Bonnie Malue, Carlos, Ben) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Check out your team assignment for field trip.
2. 1) Unit #1Chapter test (highlight section II: multiple choice + write down your Chinese name + section II #9/#10 may have two answers.  Ms. Chang checks your meal selection. 2) If you are done with test, work on Hanyu Pinyin Phonetic System worksheet.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (9/26/14)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 2) I can say colors in Chinese. 3) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project.
Homework: Review learned colors.
Procedure:
1. 1) Mrs. Cerrato / Mrs. Boyne will cover Ms. Chang on Monday, 9/29/14. Chinese classes go on a field trip to Cleveland Museum of Natural History, Chinatown grocery store and Chinatown restaurant. 2) Quick review (hong se, huang se, hei se, bai se). 3) Teach colors (lan se, lv se, zi se, zong se). 4) Introduce a website resource to type pinyin and Chinese characters.
2. 1) Teach Chinese and English date format. 2) Teach new terms (sheng ri, nian, yue, ri). 3) Write sentence #5. 4) Read sentences #1-#5. (5P) Collect. 5) (5P) Showcase more PPT projects.
