Procedures for 10/1/14

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (10/1/14)

Objectives: 1) I can blend / discriminate consonants / vowels. 2) (4P) I can express and solve math expressions. 3) I can prepare for my quiz and chapter test.
Homework: 1) Review consonants / vowels & learned Chinese number and operator characters. 2) Retake makeup work due in class: tomorrow, 10/2/14. Retake: 6P, Monday, 10/6/14. 3) Quiz #4: tomorrow. 4) WB pages 19-20.
Procedure:
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. (HR) Any school fee payment? Retake application form due tomorrow. 2) Dictation (blending) + (4P) Dictation (math equations) + (4P) sounding out syllables. 3) Go over Lesson Three chapter test study guide.
2. 1) (1P / 4P) Write Thank You cards. 2) Read text passages on page 20. 3) Pair practice time.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (10/1/14)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 2) I can say animals in Chinese. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Shaolin Temple and Chinese traditional garden.
Homework: Practice reading your sentences #1-#7.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return Ancient China reading worksheet + (3P) oral presentation draft #2. Quick review (11 colors). 2) Quiz #4. 3) Teach English address format + new terms (zhu zhi). 4) Write sentence #7. 5) Read sentences #1-#7.
2. 1) Teach animal supplementary terms. 2) (5P) Video clips: Shaolin Temple + Traditional Chinese garden.
3. Video clips: Terra Cotta Warriors + Shao Lin Temple.
