Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (10/6/14)

Objectives: 1) I can blend / discriminate consonants / vowels. 2) I can express and solve math equations in Chinese. 3) I can sight read text passages fluently. 4) (1P / 4P) I can gain knowledge about Chinese numbers.
Homework: 1) Review consonants / vowels & learned Chinese number / operator characters. 2) Quiz #5: Monday, 10/13/14. 3) Prepare for review session tomorrow.
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. Makeup work (1P: Guenever, Chris; 4P: Evan J.; 8P: Kylee). Captains check WB page 21. Go over answer key to WB pages 19-21. Report to Ms. Chang for retake at 6A. 2) Daily dictation (blending). 3) Teach handout sh + r sections. 4) Sight read text passages on page 20.
2. (1P / 4P) Culture reading: Chinese lucky and unlucky numbers.


Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (10/6/14)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese mealtime customs and Chinese Table etiquette.
Homework: 1) Art project due tomorrow. Oral presentation starts on Wednesday and Thursday. 2) Bring in other subject work to work on Tuesday and Wednesday.
1. 1) Read sentences #1-#10. 2) Promote world language video clips: bilingual cat / barking fish / Be Tough – learn a foreign language.
2. 1) Culture reading: Mealtime Customs / Chinese Table Etiquette. 2) Slide show: (3P) Chinese class field trip. 2) Video clips: Chinese martial arts + Chinese table manners.
