Procedures for 10/7/14

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (10/7/14)

Objectives: 1) I can prepare for my chapter test. 2) I can blend / discriminate vowels & consonants. 3) I can sight read text passages fluently.
Homework: 1) Turn in your Lesson Three character worksheet tomorrow. 2) Study for tomorrow’s chapter test. 3) Bring in your calculator for your test tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Daily greeting. (Phoebe, Ben, Jeremy, Leon, Ada) see Ms. Chang at 6A today, please. 2) Go over learning objectives. 3) Teach handout z c s sections. 4) (4P) Go over textbook page 21. 5) (1P) Peer modeling reading flash cards.
2. Kahoot review game.

Procedures for MS 3P / 5P (10/7/14)

Objectives: 1) I can apply what I have learned in Exploratory Chinese class to create an art project. 2) (5P) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese school systems, cram schools, sports schools, and tourist attraction: Terra Cotta Warriors.
Homework: Practice reading sentences #1-#10. Oral presentation starts from tomorrow, 10/8/14.
Procedure:
1. Read sentences #1-#10. Go through your Chinese folder / binder. Collect / Return flash cards, handouts, and culture reading articles.
2. 1) Ms. Chang checks your art project  students’ silent work. 2) Presentation, if interested. 3) Game time: Tangram piece game (day 2) + puzzles.
3. 1) Culture reading: Chinese school systems / cram schools / sports schools. 2) Video: Terra Cotta Warriors.
