Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (10/13/14)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of (zh sh ch r z c s) consonants. 2) I can greet and introduce people properly. 3) I can type Chinese pinyin and Chinese characters through a website utility or right in WORD document.
Homework: 1) Review consonants / vowels & learned Chinese characters. 2) Chinese character writing assignment. 3) Quiz #6 (compound vowels (1)): Monday, 10/20/14. 4) Typing assignment: the end of today by sharing with Ms. Chang (10 points).
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. (HR) Turn in your fundraising form, please. On 10/30, we will allow students and staff to dress up in a consume. The cost will be $2 for students and $5 for adults. The proceeds will go to Huddle for Red Ribbon Week as well as to the Food Bank. 2) Quick review / Dictation (你, 我, 好, 早). 3) Teach new characters (他, 她, 是, 老, 师). 4) Introduce to type pinyin and Chinese characters. 5) Quiz #5.
2. While Ms. Chang conducts individual oral part  independent work: utility to type a paragraph of pinyin and Lesson Two passages. Due at the end of the day.


Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (10/13/14)

Objectives: 1) I can complete a Student Inventory worksheet. 2) I can understand Ms. Chang’s classroom rules and grading policy.
Homework: Signature slip due: Thursday, 10/16/14 (7G) or Monday, 10/20/14 (7R).
1. 1) Sit on your assigned seat. 2) Go over team assignment. 3) Pass out Student Inventory worksheet. 4) Go over Ms. Chang’s daily blog / classroom routine-handouts/homework/supplies.
2. Seat work: Go over and fill out the Student Inventory worksheet.
3. Pass out and go over Ms. Chang’s classroom rules.
