Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (10/15/14)

Objectives: 1) I can blend / discriminate consonants / vowels. 2) (4P/8P) I can know my classmates’ Chinese name. 3) (1P) I can review pinyin through viewing video clip.
Homework: 1) Review consonants / vowels & 15 learned Chinese characters. 2) Chinese character writing assignment. 3) Quiz #6 (Compound Vowels #1): Monday, 10/20/14.
Procedure:
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. Makeup work (1P: Gage, Phoebe, Chris; 4P: Evan J., Carlos, Ethan P., Joey, Kerry, Kylie S., Kylie V.; 8P: Kylee, Maddie)—typing assignment. 2) Daily dictation (blending, characters). 3) Teach new characters (白, 大, 伟, 李, 兰, 们). 4) Finish Compound Vowels (1)—sections 6-9.
2. (1P) Hanyu pinyin in 6 minutes. (4P/8P) Go over classmates’ Chinese name.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (10/15/14)

Objectives: 1) I can understand what Hanyu pinyin is. 2) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.
Homework: 1) China reading packet due at the end of class today. 2) Review 4 learned greeting terms.
Procedure:
1. 1) Any signature slips? Makeup work (3P: Aaron; 5P: Vincent). Report to room 114 for your class tomorrow. 2) Go over Hanyu pinyin handout. 3) Teach term (Ni Hao, Lao shi, Ni Shi, Wo Shi).
2. Pair / independent work: China reading packet. Collect!!
