Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (10/20/14)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of compound vowels. 2) I can greet and introduce people properly.
Homework: 1) Review 20 learned Chinese characters. 2) Chinese character writing assignment. 3) Lesson Two chapter test: Monday, 10/27/14.
Procedure:
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. Please sign up for your quiz retake, if needed. 2) Daily dictation (blending). 3) Class activity: Sound out loud syllables. 4) Teach new characters (再, 见, 同, 学, 林).
2. 1) Quiz #6. 2) While Ms. Chang conducts oral part  1) Practice reading text passages. 2) Practice sounding out syllables. 3) Practice sounding out multi-syllable words. 4) Chinese character writing assignment.

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (10/20/14)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple greeting terms in Chinese. 2) I can write simple Chinese characters. 3) I can explore and have hands-on experience with cutting Chinese paper patterns.
Homework: 1) Quiz #1 (greetings): Monday, 10/27/14. Audio file was sent to your e-mail account on Thursday, 10/15/14. 2) Chinese character writing assignment. 3) Review learned greeting terms.
Procedure:
1. 1) Any signature slips? Return China reading packet. Makeup work (3P: Aaron; 5P: Vincent, John, Adam). Quick review (greeting terms). 2) Teach terms (wu an, wan an, dongle ma, dong le, bu dong).
2. 1) Introduce square paper and 20 Chinese character handout. 2) Teach two characters (shan, mu). 3) Pass out and cut double happiness patterns.
