Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (10/28/14)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of Lesson Two concepts and skills. 2) I can greet and introduce people properly. 3) I can sight read multi-syllable words fluently. 4) I can apply what I have learn to create a skit with a partner.
Homework: 1) Lesson Four character definitions due: tomorrow. 2) Quiz #8 (multi-syllable words handout): Monday, 11/3/14. Skit due: Wednesday, 11/5/14.
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. (HR) Let Ms. Chang know whether you are coming for the poster drawing at 6P. 2) Turn in your Lesson Two character worksheet. 3) Return your quiz #7 papers. Makeup work (1P: Phoebe; 2P: Hanna H.). Complete your chapter test oral exam part at 6P today. Sign up Chinese Club meeting, please. Check PB for accuracy, please. 4) Go over Lessons 2-3-4 skit checklist. 5) Lesson Two chapter test.
2. Ms. Chang conducts oral exam part  Pair activity: 1) Practice sounding out multi-syllable words handout 2) Practice greeting/introducing people. 3) Brainstorm idea for your Lessons 2-3-4 skit. 4) Write Lesson Four character definitions homework.


Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (10/28/14)

Objectives: 1) I can read / writing / say numbers in Chinese. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese early inventions and publications.
Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment. It is due in class tomorrow. 2) Review learned picture and number characters. 3) Quiz #2: Monday, 11/3/14.
1. 1) Return your quiz #1 papers. Quick review (picture and number characters). Makeup quiz (3P: Sam, Sean). 2) Teach numbers (fiver, six, seven, eight).
2. 1) Video clips: gun powder / compass / paper. 2) Culture reading: China (page 4). Showcase Chinese publications and seals.
