Procedures for 11/5/14

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (11/5/14)

Objectives: 1) I can present my skit with a partner. 2) I can blend / discriminate consonants / vowels and make sentences in Chinese. 3) I can ask and answer questions about age, identity, and dates. 4) I can sight read Chinese characters and text passages. 5) I can use Chinese date format in referring dates.
Homework: Review front and back nasal sounds & 8 learned Chinese number characters. Procedure:
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. Turn in your skit script printout and checklist. 2) Daily dictation (front + back nasal sounds + sentences). (Phoebe, Kylie S., Evan J., Ada) report to Ms. Chang during study hall time today. 3) Speedy character recognition. 4) Read text passages on pages 23-24. 5) Teach back nasal sounds handout sections 4-8.
2. 1) Warm up => Skit presentation. 2) (1P) Teach Chinese date format.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (11/5/14)

Objectives: 1) I can count from zero to one hundred. 2) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 3) I can sample various types of tea.
Homework: 1) Practice reading sentences #1-#4. 2) Review Chinese counting principle handout.
Procedure:
1. Makeup work (5P: Vincent). 1) Counting from zero to one hundred. 2) Teach new terms (baba, mama, gege, didi, jiejie, meimei, he, liang). 3) Write sentence #4 and read sentences #1-#4. 4) Complete origami product #2. Collect as participation grade.
2. Tea time. Showcase drawing and origami project samples.
