Procedures for 11/6/14

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (11/6/14)

Objectives: 1) I can present my skit with a partner. 2) I can blend / discriminate consonants / vowels. 3) I can ask and answer questions about age, identity, and dates.
Homework: 1) Review front and back nasal sounds & 14 learned Chinese number characters. 2) Chinese character writing assignment. 3) Wear something dark and old for tomorrow’s art lesson, please. 4) Quiz #9 (front and back nasal sounds): Monday, 11/10/14. Lesson Four chapter test: Thursday, 11/13/14.
Procedure:
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. (1P: Guenever, Alenas) talk to Ms. Chang, please. (Leon, Kylie S.) report to Ms. Chang during study hall time, please. 2) Makeup work (1P: Jaeyoung, Bella, Maddie, Grace; 4P: Jeremy, Cameron, Carlos, Evan J., Jack, Eric W.). 3) Daily dictation (back nasal sounds). 4) Teach new characters (请, 进, 谢, 今, 年, 明年, 今天, 明天, 两). 5) Go over Lesson Four chapter test study guide.
2. 1) Skit presentation / video clips (1P: Megan, Olivia; 4P: Caroline / Kylie V.; 8P: Jareth / Andrew F. 2) Teach Chinese date format. 3) Go over Lessons 2-6 Conversation Questions handout. 4) Pair practice. 5) Q/A.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (11/6/14)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 2) I can count from zero to one hundred in Chinese. 3) I can understand the requirements of my art project. 4) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project through viewing project samples.
Homework: Brainstorm your ideas for your art project.
Procedure:
1. 1) (5P: Vincent) reports to Ms. Chang during study hall time tomorrow, please. Makeup work—origami (3P: Connor, Nathan, Aniketh, Gavin; 5P: Evagenia, Dominic). Count from zero to one hundred. 2) Teach new terms (nian, yue, ri, sheng ri, de). 3) Review English date format and teach Chinese date format. 4) Write sentence #5 and read sentences #1-#5. Collect draft #1.
2. 1) Go over Art Proejct requirements. 2) (5P) Showcase drawing and origami art project samples.
