Procedures for 11/10/14

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (11/10/14)

Objectives: 1) I can ask and answer, and write questions about age, identity, and dates. 2) I can sight read text passages and syllables fluently and accurately. 3) I can showcase my mastery of front and back nasal sounds.
Homework: 1) WB pages 25-26. 2) Hanyu pinyin phonetic system worksheet due: Friday, 11/14/14. 3) Study Lesson Four. 4) Oral exam starts on Wednesday, 11/12/14.
Procedure:
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. The following students (4P: Jeremy, Cameron, Evan B., Ethan M.) and the ones who do not finish sounding out syllables in class report to Ms. Chang at 6A today, please. 2) Sounding out loud front / back nasal sound syllables. 3) Sight reading text pages 23-25. 4) Writing practice.
2. 1) Quiz #9. 2) While Ms. Chang conducts oral exam part  Independent / Pair work: 1) Oral exam question practice. 2) Work on WB pages.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (11/10/14)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 2) (3P) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese tourist attractions—the Great Wall of China. 3) I can showcase my mastery of Chinese counting principle.
Homework: 1) Brainstorm ideas for your art project. 2) Art project due on Friday, 11/21/14. Oral presentation starts on Wednesday, 11/19/14 and Thursday, 11/20/14.
Procedure:
1. 1) Quick review (10 number characters). 2) Teach terms (zhu zhi). 3) Review English address format. 4) Write sentence #7 and read sentences #1-#7.
2. 1) (3P) Video clip: The Great Wall of China / Terra Cotta Warriors. 2) Quiz #3.
